This is not real interview. It's collection of questions what has rised in e-mails or reviews or discussions or could be assumed to rise sooner or later. So, consider this as recent "f.a.q.":
*Is Creamface dead because no interviews and no new records?
-Creamface is as alive as it has been since 1999. Band does not keep public diary of it's activity. When new recordings are made, which happens usually each year, or interview are given or even simply update of website, it's sign of being alive. All of the recorded material is not yet released, therefore, new recordings has not been yet made. There are plans for 2 or even 3 new records for 2004.
Reason for stopping/minimizing giving interviews is two things: Not much of interesting things is discussed in regular interviews and due low profile for couple of years, there has not been much offers either.
*You said you don't give much interviews, would you make exception
for my zine?
-If you ask something other than obvious, what I can't just cut'n'paste from other interviews or biography, then ok.
*Why Creamface is not available at distributors ? Why it is so
difficult to get CF stuff?
-Most distributors operate merely through trading. When I don't have
need to take more of their records, they obviously won't take more Creamface. When record
is as cheap as 5$, wholesale isn't much cheaper, so most do not want to buy CDr's as they
do not provide profit. Very simple situation. Most of releases are sold out by now,
so that's equally big reason.
CF stuff is not difficult to get. If putting 5$ in envelope and sent to my address is
"difficult", I wonder how do you survive in your life?
*5$ !!!?? How is so big price for home burned CDr ? I can get CDr
from shop for 0,5$!
-Then please, go to buy those blank CDr's from local shop and listen the silence. What else you get for 5$? Hamburger? 1 or 2 glasses of beer at the bar? If you think record of band is not worth of your 5$, then maybe you are not worth of the record.
*I have e-mailed you many times without getting answer. What's the
problem???
-Did you use old hotmail address which is not in use anymore?
Or did you keep mailing the same question which I have already answered you and what is
clearly stated on website? Did you propose me trade, but not even bothering to introduce
what you are offering? Or maybe you sent mail like "hey, still available??" and
I have no idea what you are talking about. I do get also other mail than only Creamface
related, so be clear.
*Why Creamface has not published any "real" records?
-Every attempt in past has sucked and every offer from labels has been more or less unreliable. There are couple labels we have good relations with, and they might be putting out CF material when time is right.
CDr and tape format is fine with me and I'm perfectly satisfied remaining on "demo level". No need to send offers for releasing stuff. Not interested in deals from labels that are unknown to me.
*Why this arrogant attitude of not wanting deals and not accepting
offers for compilations ??
-Is it every bands obligation to want spread their material to everywhere? Or welcome all offers from anyone? To turn down offers is better than wasting time on projects that will never come reality, which seems to be very common within grind scene of today. I prefer to keep as much strings in my own hands as possible. If keeping control of your own doings is arrogance, then be it.
*Why there is no mp3 on the website?
-If purpose of mp3 is to promote band, I have no interest for promotion. If people just want to get free music, there is already countless of bands offering it, so feel free to choose one of them. In Creamface there is much more than only music/sound, and therefore actual covers, lyrics, artworks etc. are essential. Therefore, to listen Creamface, get the releases!
*Do you feel Creamface is somehow above other bands since it's
many times underlined how special is to create artworks by band itself and how much
"average" porn grind sucks?
-I don't consider Creamface as very unique what comes to music. It's all done before by the legends of this genre. What comes to lyrics and covers, I don't consider myself to be king of the scene either. I only underline the difference of obsession vs. joke and self creating vs. taking advantage of others works. If you claim it's too hard to do by yourself, you probably never even tried.
*Do you think porno grind should get more acceptance from scene ?
-No need for that. Porno is meant for obsessed persons, opinions of others are really not essential at all.
*Some labels boycott grind bands with porno / sexists / misogynist
content. What do you wish to say to them?
-Keep up the good work.
*Is porno grind just a joke?
-For many it seems to be. Most of bands seem to be into mixing porno
with various other topics, which together create something "sick" and
"shocking", but end up being very shallow and empty. If bands would somehow show
their true interest in the subject, their personal involvement, etc. it would be much more
interesting.
Creamface has some dark humor in it occasionally, just as porno itself has, but it is not
a joke.
*If you are not doing it as joke, are you misogynist and accept
degrading and abusing females ??
-This kind of overall questions doesn't tell whether your definition of degrading and
abusing is valid for same act what I still consider rather mild, standard sex. Some of
people asking question like this, will probably not be able to accept answer about nature
of pornography with their limited brain capacity.

-Are you retard, because you don't see all lyrics talk of man + woman relation, which
is generally understood as heterosexual behavior. You thought it was about fags as you

*Who is your favorite porn star of today?
-There's lots of meat on the market, very few are stars. I rather give credit to the
directors who get actors to do what they do. True stars of today can be found among those
who are behind the cameras (or generally in charge).
*Why do you dislike deathgrind & modern grindcore ?
-I don't dislike it all. I dislike the faceless and standardized approach of it. How many "extreme" bands there can be? If you have 1000 extreme grindcore bands, doesn't it mean that it's no more "extreme", but generic and standard? Extreme is valid word for only the material what is beyond all the rest. With each band trying to deliver faster and faster (triggered) drums, sicker and sicker lyrics, more and more guttural voice, it seems like sports, not the music.
Drum machines changed exploding speed of real drums to electronic whirlwind which seems to stay still. Clean productions is the worst enemy of grindcore. When bands think they are improving grindcore, in fact, they are just making it safe and clean. Logical next step for kids who want to find something after getting bored with nu-metal.
Another things is the very lame quality of home recorded goregrind. Drum machines, powerless sound, dull riffs and nothing personality in anything. I hear someone claiming that everybody has right to play grind, that it's not some elite music. You could be right, but why pollute scene with spreading recordings which you yourself probably dislike after 6 months and call it crap?? Is it made just so you get "involved" or get to trade so don't have to buy? Even if releasing stuff is easy, it doesn't mean everything should be released.
