A teenaged RAVEN STRAIN aka MATT BILLINGS used to hang out in those tunnels... ALOT! This is totally the sound of creeping thru there high on paint, seeing only by the light of a shitty BIC mini lighter... runnin around the hospital and reading the forgotten files of the inmates that once lived there. I remember him telling me a story of snakin some old filing cabinet from there and draggin em home thru the tunnels. I think he recorded that and put it on this tape. Total abandonment, illness, and drugs.

C-60 of VERY minimal synth tests made after intense holiday readings of the books of COMMANDER X. The new studio has just been set up and the recordings on this tape were from a session I did to get reacquainted with my synthesizers. Unlike every other SS release, there is no tape delay FX used on these recordings..some LIGHT reverb on the B-side from an old ´echo-verb´ unit I recently acquired, but other than that it´s raw synth.
The A side is a triple synth sample and hold exercise using Dotcom Modular, Yamaha CS-5, and Moog Rogue. The B-side is an ULTRA minimal pulse ambience piece for Moog Rogue and Lafayette Echo-Verb. This side was very influenced by a tape called CHAMBER MUSIC originally released in 1984 by STRENGTH THROUGH JOY. I got the tape quite a few years ago and remember being struck by how minimal it was. I wasn´t too fond of it at the time, but I think about it quite a lot and I think it´s influenced a lot of my output, especially my more recent recordings. I think of it as ambient music, not ´ambient´ as in the genre, but as sounds to surround yourself with while doing something else. Throw this one on and read some COMMANDER X!

The dark spiritual crossing of the Abyss may be initiated with several of the rites within the Inner Sanctum and is covered here in depth. The secrets of the three phases of spiritual Alkemy are revealed, in practice, and the pathway beyond Thaumiel´s Moon is illuminated. This journey, which begins with the tremendous power released during the Rite of the Phoenix, takes the soul through the outer gates of the void culminating at the throne of the Dark Queen.
This book has only been made possible through the intense work carried out by the author in bringing back the lost gnosis connected with the Goddess Hecate. The Queen of Hell has guided and led the author, as Her student, so that he has been able to provide a return to the whole concepts of Hecate and Her craft, as opposed to the fragmented work presented in earlier books.
