This luxurious epic release by the Swedish sound terrorist Kristian Olsson, also known as the leader of Survival Unit, probably built a monument for the postmortem electronics. A style mainly characterised by dirt, chaos, noise and deliberate disregard for quality. Two long tracks of Bottenskrapet album offer a hymn for the dump of human civilisation and its madness. Absolute provocation released in the heaviest pic-LP vinyl illustrated with the visualisation of the talented 21st c. collagist Kristian Olsson, whose suggestion equals that of Hieronymus Bosch´s hallucinations. The release includes a postcard and a few stickers for labelling police cars.

Perhaps the most charismatic figure of the industrial scene - Lina Baby Doll - has recorded a new 25 minute material for his cult project Deutsch Nepal. Many people call this extraordinary artist Robie Williams of the industrial scene. Yet, after listening to the latest record of Deutsch Nepal, many will undoubtedly call him Frank Sinatra of the scene. The atmosphere of the new Deutsch Nepal tracks somewhat reminds the American genius’ old hits pervaded by deep longing and specific black humour. However Rapist Park Junktion is far from the return to the depressive epoch of Erosion. The new tracks contain the features of all periods of Deutsch Nepal music. They remind ritual aspects of Deflagration of Hell and Benevolence, rhythms of Tolerance and nightmares of Comprendido… time stop, as well as mournfulness of Erosion coupled with wild sexuality of Erotikon. Lina says Rapist Park Junktion is a bridge between his earlier music and that what is coming soon. To be more precise, this is a connecting-link to the mysterious Amygdala. So, Rapist Park Junktion is the same old and charismatic Lina Baby Doll now playing the role of Frank Sinatra instead of Nick or Robie Williams, and the gloomy atmosphere of drinking-songs glowing in the background of horrible audiohallucinations.

Two more GL tracks were also released on the seminal compilation Vhutemas Archetypi, which also featured groups like Laibach, Lustmord & SPK.

Birthdays consists of two live sets by maverick amplified-glass player Justice Yeldham recorded during his & Keg´s recent tour of Europe. If you´ve never heard of the guy you are in for a bloody treat. Using concert-grade piano contact mics, he amplifies a sheet of glass and plays it with his mouth and face, processing it with pedals attached to his belt, usually barefooted. The results are unworldly, and hearing it you would never imagine what created it, something only an Aussie could achieve. Like careening assaults of insect spaceships, he transports the listener to other worlds of sound, ending most often in a crash of the glass upon his head. He survives, bloody but alive, never worse for wear in the morning. Side A was captured in Marseille on the eve of Justice´s 35th birthday while side B was recorded on Kegs birthday in Porto (for a preview listen at myspace.com/justiceyeldham ). And to top off the birthday cheer Keg also did the cover illustration as a gift for Justice´s Birthday. Mastered by the god-like Rasheed of Dubplates (Berlin), the record has been collaboratively released in an edition of 600 copies across the world by Anarchymoon Recordings (North America), Turgid Animal (Europe) & All Thumbs Press (Australia). "One can’t help but embrace Rubber-O-Cement’s love affair with the two-dimensional on their split LP with Panicsville (Nihilist). Deciphering the duo’s cardboard computer and ramshackle Witchypoo costuming is hardly a vexing conundrum, although it would be nice if such grammar school thetrics were genuine attempts to deceive the audience into believing that a pair of six-foot-tall third-graders might actually be creating electronic noise at the Clitstop on a school night after 11:30. Playing Peabody to Rubber-O’s Sherman, Panicsville set the Wayback Machine for the Columbia University of Electronic Music Center, 1953. Among the bachelor pad birdcalls, space jingles, random blips and bleeps (when the computer’s thinking), certain anachronisms are noticeable, such as Andy Ortmann’s familiarity with deep noise (the bifocals and necktie idea of noise being flat, hissy static with no presence). One welcome absence is the insecurity that unless all these gizmos can be trained to blip and bleep “Bicycle Built For Two”, no one’s going to accept electronics as a viable method of commodity production (excuse me, music making)."

The second cassette. Reich/Riley. is based around a similar method of mixing although the resulting music is fuller and retains the atmosphere of the original pieces (Reich's 'Four Organs' and Riley's 'Shri Camel').

When I first got copy of debut 7" of John Wiese in 1998, I couldn´t predict that close to 15 years later, his 99th 7" vinyl release will be released by Freak Animal. For Sickness, this is his first 7". What we have here, is 4 tracks of high energy, extremely vivid and frantic harsh noise. At the best possible tradition of these two masterminds. Compositions are razor sharp and to the point. Good sound at 45rpm ep, and it has still decent playing time of c. 10 minutes. They really compressed album worth of substance into this small piece of vinyl, offering more in 10 minutes than many artists during their entire career. The music and imagery of Sigillum S has intrigued and captivated me over the years. "Over the past two years The Fortieth Day has released numerous cassette releases and Diophantine Discs is proud to issue their first LP. "Syria: 630 AD" consists of two 17+ minute compositions of extremely dense, powerful, and brooding tracks tracks, with some absolutely monstrous bass. Comprised of Mark Solotroff (Bloodyminded, Intrinsic Action, and the BloodLust! label) and Isidro Reyes (Bloodyminded), Chicago´s The Fortieth Day creates a unique music that is dense and murky, lurking somewhere between the realms of noise, industrial, and ambient. Various recording sessions are processed, re-processed, and mixed together to create the final studio recordings. Live shows also incorporate live real-time video projections by Noise Crush. Previous works include a collaborative cassette with Sshe Retina Stimulants and releases on BloodLust!, ORCO, and Cipher.

the two years of silence following the release of his debut-cd in 2001 were very well spent by the [law-rah] collective. force of nature is proud to present a 12" vinyl with two new tracks by the dutch collective.
After the already sold-out skincrime album, ´vesuvius´ is the second vinyl release on force of nature and the first in a series, where each release will be describing a different natural disaster. both tracks are around fifteen minutes in length and created with analog sound sources only. while the first side of the 12" describes the expulsion of volcanic gasses - solfataras - poisoning the air, the second side sketches a picture of Pompeii, herculaneum, oplonti and stabiae, each hidden under 10 to 75 feet of tephra (ashes). two days of volcanic activity killed over 3300 people. the design and packaging of ´Vesuvius´ is explosive itself; slightly transparent golden vinyl resembling the power of the magma hidden deep inside the earth. An ash and smoke colored cover insert designed by dominick fernow of hospital productions not only gives a brief history of the volcano; it also acts as a guardian protecting the gold of an once so prosperous city which is no more.

Dirk Serries (well-known sound-artist, especially known for his Fear Falls Burning-Releases) is moving on this Box-Set through various styles. From utterly relentless noise music to rhythmical industrial outbursts. This 3LP set features unreleased and extremely rare tracks from a personal friend´s private collection (music that was recorded exclusively for him) to songs from early cassettes releases.
While Lp Number 1 combines very beat-orientated-material in best manner of early Blackhouse or even Esplendor Geometrico. Lp2 and 3 presents the fundament and roots for his later works

Hailing from Gothenburg, Viking Jews is the brainchild of Hannes Norrvide (also a member of bleak rascal duo Lust For Youth), which after a few selfreleased cassettes here offers up 20 shimmering minutes for his vinyl debut. Melancholic and rhythmic stuff melted through cheap keyboards, distinguished vocals and some serious cassette-flippin´, somewhat covered under layers of dust, delay and piles of trashed skateboard decks. Twisted west coast ambience and Scandinavian heat all over. Think of Monopoly Child Star Searchers, early Dolphins Into The Future and Innercity and maybe you are halfways. All new material, except the inclusion of the beautiful ambient-closer from the Boneless cassette which we just couldn´t resist to put on vinyl.
Smycken resides in Gothenburg/Malmö/Copenhagen and consists of Rasmus Svensson and Hanna Nilsson. Just as with Viking Jews, this is the first vinyl-apperance from Smycken after most notably a cassette on Night People and a CD-R on Psychic Malmö (both released in 2009). 4 tracks of hazy and dreamy music, pushing forward everything towards a more refined pop-sound but without loosing it´s initial Fonal-esque psychedelic blurs and almost folky undertones. Current popular culture is being demolished and embraced at the same time. Tracks like Marble Slabz will have you, with a big smile, asking yourself what the fuck just happened and the closer Mysterious Moonlight is the closest thing we have come to a ballad in the RTB discography since... well, ever.
