-Important about trading & sending trades

no e-mails can be answered from hotmail.fr, hotmail.co.uk, msn.com, hotmail.it, hotmail.jp, etc.. Basically all microsoft related except regular hotmail will bounce. Do not contact us from such addressies. They can't be answered.

Ordering
When you place an order, we are willing to proceed it very quick.  However, some of the people never want to waste even couple  of minutes to see ordering instructions before ordering. READ THEM, it is no waste of time!   Actually the opposite:  Asking for useless questions or behaving more stupid than you truly are can result delay.  As we don't want to waste time on useless work which would delay other orders. Useless questions will be answered when there is additional time, so delay can be considered only your fault.

shortly:
-you send e-mail where is listed what you want, and where they should be mailed (it's difficult to calculate postage if not knowing is it european of overseas order!) and how you are willing to pay (cash, bank transfer, paypal)
-you receive answer including list of what is available, total price including postage and instructions how to do payment.
-you do the payment and make sure you have included necessary contact information etc.
-when money is received, order is being sent.

Wholesale Ordering
Labels, distributions as well as just individuals doing small distro work can buy for wholesale prices.
You don't have to be official company or even have name for distribution. If you are willing to take 5 or more copies per title, you can obtain wholesale price. If we see that individual / distributor / label is buying stuff just for future auctions, we can simply refuse all the sales in future.

Trades = Want To Be Distributed Northern Heritage?
Trades and wholesales are done, but with selected labels and bands. We do not take "whatever". We mostly work with labels and bands with similar ideology or methods what we have. Our old comrades are always priority, so those new contacts who suggest trades might not always get it if release is sold out after old loyal contacts have taken what they need. New labels and those who in past have showed tendency for long delays, must
send their trades first. If you keep us waiting for many times, we will keep you waiting equally. If you are fast, we are fast.

NH distributes hundreds of zines, tapes, vinyls, CD's, etc. Focus is on raw underground black metal. There is also some of well known "classic" records, death, doom, grind, industrial. But all those are small minority.
If you have band, label or zine which you feel could be along the same lines with NH, don't hesitate to offer your releases. We obtain material mostly by trading. New labels and those who we can't trust 100% due past delays etc, must send trades first.
If your labels posts useless promotional mails every week, your e-mail will be most likely blocked and then also messages with importance will not reach us anymore. SO DO NOT SEND USELESS JUNK MAIL ! Same can happen if you send those huge attachments and jpeg files without asking. Spammers will be blocked!
We usually confirm everybody whether we want or don't want to trade. So IF you didn't get answer, ask again. If you have written 10 times with no answer, reason could be
the one mentioned below:

We do not need:
modern symphonic commercial metal
sweet keyboard metal
melodic death metal
clean and neat modern "brutal DM"
hardcore/crust
gothic rock / EBM
etc...

IMPORTANT ABOUT CONTACTING FOR TRADE!!!
This may sound either pissed off or arrogant, but it has proven that such approach is needed:

ALL the time there comes e-mails what are like "do you trade", "do you take our demo for sale?", "we have demo, are you interested" or such ones. This is complete WASTE OF TIME. Nobody can answer yes or no, based on such a question. This means I usually have the send same questions so many times a week, it gets frustrating. The simple basic principles of trade is:

When suggesting trade, do not forget to describe the style and other needed things! Bands/label who offer demo tapes or CD's / records to be distributed, always inform:

-What band, what release, what format (note: CDr is not CD!)
-what style
-possible influences what will make easy to judge the style
-sound quality and is real instruments or for example drum machine
-If you consider your demo crappy & useless,  or you see why others obviously would do so, do not offer them!
-Not all material is worthy to spread and if your reason is to get stuff cheaply in trade, think again. Spreading all those worthless bedroom bm drummachine crap projects already has become so large scale problem, that many people refuse to buy bm tapes anymore, as it is most likely something not worth to hear.
-If you have scratched CD's, damaged vinyl covers etc, don't bother to offer them.

If you just send e-mail asking "want to distribute my demo?!?", it is waste of both of our time. I can only send back message asking the above mentioned questions, or link to these informations. If you refuse to describe the demo saying some overall "extreme bm" type description, it may be best for me to skip the offer.
DO NOT SEND MP3 or large picture files via e-mail !! Just plain text!

IMPORTANT ABOUT SENDING TRADE!!!
Again, this may sound arrogant and I dislike acting like guiding service for labels, but it has proven that such approach is needed:
when sending trades:

If CD's are without jewelbox
-pack discs outside the booklets and inlays. Putting them inside booklets will cause irritating ringwear and make them too bad condition to sell.
-wrap discs tightly inside plastic or other material so they can't move while being transported. If they are loose, it can cause scratches to discs and make them too bad condition to sell. Remember always to have label surface outside in both ends. If you have the reading surface outside and you wrap some plastic on it, it can still cause some unwanted harm to surface.
-pack the inlays and booklets inside envelope or plastic sleeve to avoid bent corners or them being ripped.

If tapes are without boxes:
-remove also J-card (=cover) from the tape and pack inside envelope. If you have J-card on the cassette and they are tightly wrapped, it will look like shit after travelling here from other side of the world. If there is no any information of tape itself what band it is and you are sending different tapes at the same time, make sure to find a way to identify what is what tape.

If you send vinyl records:
-preferred is to remove vinyl outside the covers, to prevent damage. Often in mailing, packages go through rough handling and heavy and sharp 12" slab of vinyl can easy rip whole spine of cover open. It is impossible to ask full price for damaged records, and in case of trade it means lost money - due someones incompetence! In some cases tight shrinkwrap can help that records can remain inside covers and be relatively safe.
-pack them well, so no bent corners! If your records are already in "used" condition due damages in transportation from factory or your other trades, they are not supposed to be traded for mint records, atleast not without warning! Do not try to pass your problems to others.

When sending ANYTHING:
-Include your contact information (post address & e-mail) ALWAYS !!!
-Possibly also letter or printed e-mail of the agreed trade, so it's fast and easy to pack and send you what you wanted.

All these are standard things, what you should already know if running a label. However, if you fail, and send us damaged goods which can't be sold, it may cause problems in both ends.

IF YOU INTEND TO USE SOME OTHER DELIVERY METHODS THAN NORMAL MAIL (delivery companies like TNT, GLS, UPS, etc etc) OR SEND BIG PACKAGES FROM USA, ALWAYS ASK FIRST FOR DETAILS !
