Northern Heritage has agreed to release official re-releases of WARLOGHE "First possession" and "womb of pestilence" CD's. It is important to notice that the digipak sold on various auctions and possibly in some mailorders is BOOTLEG. Official re-pressings will be in jewelbox, and nearly identical for original CD's (only NH logo included). We urge all distributors to boycott the labels responsible for the bootleg and not taking it for sale. Official versions should be available soon.

"INCRIMINATED R.I.P. (1997 - 2008) Yes, eleven years is a long enough time for a band as ugly and fucked up as Incriminated. With releases like "The Promise of Worse to Come" or forthcoming Northern Heritage release "Death Noise", we have reached the all time low as even the filthiest sewers have a bottom. There is no more to do or say with this concept, so Death is the only option. We would like to say cheers to all our previous members, those individuals who believed in us all the way (especially Mikko / Northern Heritage) and of course those who never understood why anyone would voluntarily do such demented noise as we did.

Distribution listings and order handling are now managed by a database system called DistroManager. It will make processing orders faster and more accurate as soon as delayed orders/trades caused by massive change is done.

Some changes in mailorderlist:
-all t-shirts are listed individually by size. So often one title is being listed even 5 times (S, M, L, XL, XXL). This is due keeping inventory system accurate. Now to most shirts is added link to image.
-Industrial/ambient list has been removed. Now all such titles are listed inside the main catalogue.

NH mailinglist has been discountinued due e-mail problems. Sending a lot of mails to people who have maybe only few years ago wanted to get the mailorderlist/news, results a lot of spam reports to their own e-mail hosts and this can result delivery problems for all communications I'm sending out. Intent is therefore establish weekly update scedule, where every monday would be the day of mailorder update, no matter what amount of new arrivals there are.

Some of the new records are out now, but will be announced only after the website update is done. It might take about 1 week or so.



This is the second and last logical step in our decision to make all Deathspell Omega material available and, at the same time, out of reach of disrespectful bootleggers or speculators. Interested parties can now investigate all aspects of the band's discography from official sources.

NH-055 Deathspell Omega "Manifestations 2000-2001" CD
It has been in the works for years, but here is finally the official CD version of the early Deathspell Omega material that was available on vinyl only as of today. It gathers the songs included on the splits with Moonblood, Mütiilation and the Black Metal Blitzkrieg V/A LP : by far the most primitive material of all and in all aspects, pure underground Black Metal. No unreleased songs : if you own the vinyls, this is of little relevance for you!

This contains the last and most intense manifestations of the first era of the band, 8 unreleased songs, initially intended to be featured on the Crushing the Holy Trinity V/A and on a cancelled split with defunct Cantus Bestiae. Harsh and in the style of a more frantic "Inquisitors of Satan", some of these ideas have developed to sketches for later recordings. LP version coming later.

BAPTISM "Grim Arts of Melancholy" CD (12,-)
BAPTISM is known as one of the most reliable Finnish black metal acts with it's instantly recognizable, yet deeply traditional, sort of puritanical "Eliterian" musical worship and esotericism. Referencing both older metal and a newly awakened purpose for a more extreme form of Luciferian art, BAPTISM's work is always more than mere music - it's a theistic black metal ceremony. As it is, "Grim Arts of Melancholy" stands as a natural continuation of the work BAPTISM initiated in the 90's. Sargofagian's articulated vocals unveil mysteries of a blackest nature in the foreground of a deeply darkened, almost insane, mostly mid-paced riffscape, which seems this time to have kept to a minimum the use of beautiful counterpointing of melodies. Old-school thrashing parts are captured amidst songs in their flight across godless depths, yet return to obscurity as soon as the listener is awakened from the morbid trance of a mid-paced minor key hammering. For most of the time the whole album sounds like one single extended ceremonial track dedicated to Azazel or some other force whose name is unknown to mankind. It achieves this atmosphere without using standard tricks such as extremely lo-fi production; in fact, this one probably has the clearest and most dynamic production BAPTISM ever had. It serves it's purpose here to highlight the nature of the album as a sort of anti-symphony, a prayer, a clear vision of doom. The messages of BAPTISM's "Grim Arts" are serious prophecies, not entertaining background music!

2008 marks the 10 years anniversary of Clandestine Blaze, so postponing 2xCD compilation half year from original schedule was decided. But see how well the year started:

2nd disc material is available on official LP/CD releases, and the CD versions are available around the world in various distros and to be re-pressed soon as well. It includes only 1 song + intro/outro of demo 2008, and leaves most of the actual songs away. From "There comes the day" seems to include only outro, while there is c. 25 minutes on songs on that demo. Same with "goat..." demo. And also "Crushing The Holy Trinity" obviously is not a "demo", but it is the 3xCD compilation what is currenly available as well.

So I advice not to waste your money on such scummy joke.

These days it's total law of jungle in bm. No respect of any kind. In old days bootlegs were done of the classic & already defunct / disappeared bands as honour of their legacy. Now it's like any band who sells anything, can be bootlegged, no matter if they are active or not. There's CD's of Katharsis, Inquisition, Satanic Warmaster, Nargaroth, Deathspell Omega, etc etc.. small bands, who didn't immediately put out all their stuff on CD, someone does it without even bothering to ask. I'm sure many of the bands could agree when just asked. However, I guess that opens whole new type of business. You can offer deal that "I'm doing this anyway, you can either take free copies or don't, we're doing it anyway".

This is not the first time when someone writes about progressing Clandestine Blaze bootleg CD and we have to take action of spending time on the matter. Recently NH has been contacted by person who says his friend is doing soon CB bootleg CD of tape materials and is offering to be middle man in forwarding me part of the money. He / they don't seem to realize this is not question about money, and I would never approve release done by unknown people, compiled most likely from soulseek mp3's or tape dubs, while I have the actual master tapes in my possession. It feels ridiculous to even end up in situation where small underground bands who are know to not only compose, but record, publish and distribute their own material, become target of above mentioned extortion where they assume you would only give them license because of threat.

How to answer these j**ish businessmen, who work under disguise of "black metal fan", who don't even respect the request of the band they claim to be fan of ?? Only way to really make sure there is not soon some retarded fuzzy mp3 files published on CD with some unrelated artwork, is to answer with better official release.

Therefore, expected is 2xCD compiling all the demo/tape/compilation tracks and possibly some extras. Made out of original masters, with original artworks. Decision of vinyl (it would have to be 3xLP) is done soon too. Maybe this will make the so impatient bootleggers back off. There is no point making inferior bootleg. There exists unreleased CB tracks, and we'll see if those end up to release as well.

Most likely this release will be sold exclusively by NH. For sake of some decency towards original ideas of the releases as well as to not make this kind of tape compilation take attention from the "real" full length albums available in regular distribution. Price will be set cheaper, most likely double sold for price of regular CD. Tracklisting and more info follows later.

There was intention to create exclusive tape releases for 2007, but well, fuck it. I rather listen the track exclusively by myself, than withness the scene leeches fighting like hyenas who is the first one to upload the files online or/and start duplicating the bootlegs.

currently people who have hotmail.fr, hotmail.de, hotmail.co.uk or msn.com e-mail accounts can't get replies. Seems like problem won't be solved. So to contact NH, get another e-mail account. At the moment contacts from regular hotmail.com works. If you see people complaining of not getting replies from NH, mention about this problem.

For this same reason, it might be possible that whole e-mail newsletter system will be abandoned. It makes no sense to make mass mailings for hundreds of people who wanted to be on list, who rarely make orders, and instead report "spam" to their e-mail hosts and cause trouble also to active customers. From now on, I urge to check out news & updates from website. Newsmail probably will only exist for distributors in future.

Some heavy delayes with pressing plants. Hopes are still to get in December: Diaboli "kirous" LP, Diaboli "The Antichrist" LP ! This legendary Finnish bm band, one of oldest still active ones first time on vinyl! But we'll see if it delays till december.


SATANIC WARMASTER "Strength & Honour" CD new version with bonus tracks:
Northern Heritage is proud to finally present the definitive reissue of possibly the single most powerful Finnish black metal album of the late 90's: "Strength and Honour". Combining the satanic aggression of early Finnish black metal with the arising militant pagan awareness, this album was instrumental in the subcultural development of Finnish (black) metal. A reissue was deemed necessary because thousands of copies have been sold in several different editions, but lacking the clarity and perfection of a definitive version. That version shall be available now.
Despite being a well-known name these days, SATANIC WARMASTER was known from it's inception as a serious and provocative project. It's musical awareness of black metal tendencies from EMPEROR to MUTIILATION and moreover, awareness of the heritage of ancient pagan traditions both in national resurgence and through the witchcraft of Satan, the adversary, with it's unconscious symbolism to modern heavy metal youth as the destructive energies in man, makes the album concrete and evil. It's possessed with a feeling that makes you think it's mere presence will turn over tombstones and set churches on fire. Halfway through this album, back in '99, this reviewer was turned from scepticism towards modern Finnish black metal, to acclaiming it's potential future existence as a radical artistic force. The truth of this prophecy has since been proved numerous times, by the same artist, and others unmentioned.
Whereas SATANIC WARMASTER's demo works presented a rather different style, the spiritual root of the later works must be found in the obscure, almost secret work of BLUTRACHE, whose demo has been dug up from the archives to serve as part of the current reissue. Also the bonus track "Legion Werwolf" from S&H tape and vinyl version is included here.
The CD is remastered from the original master tape with a different vision in mind and has better dynamics and definition, yet containing the esoteric power of the original savage production. The booklet includes new artwork, all the controversial lyrics plus an expanded manifesto revealing some of the aims of the artist in originally creating this Carelian Pan-satanist manifestation and a meditation on its consequences and where he now stands in respect to it.

Once in a while some customers sends e-mail orders and when they are replied, e-mail bounces back with error message or either permanent error or account over quata. In most of such cases, there is no time to start being sniper when account could have enought free space or if it will work some other time. It will be left there. Also some mails might be caught by strict spam filters and due percentage of real mails among endless amount of spam is so small, NH is no longer monitoring spam folders. Everything there is simply deleted. So if you feel like your messages have been ignored, it can be such case. Keep your account clean enough to be able to receive answer and avoid html code, avoid attachments etc. Just plain e-mail text orderlist and it should come through.
